The recipes I've made so far are tasty and easy. The book is broken out by pregnancy symptom, which is helpful, but I wish it was broken up by meal-part instead. Sometimes I'll be on the lookout for a simple dinner and I have to shuffle through the whole book before I find it. My only other gripe with the book is that there are no photos of the food like a traditional cookbook would have.
This is a fantastic book for pregnant women, but also an excellent book for just about anyone! Yes, the recipes are designed and grouped together for easing certain pregnancy symptoms, but I'm sure that I'll continue to whip up these meals and snacks long after my pregnancy. They are not only healthy and clean but well-balanced and well-explained (I'm not much of a chef so I need all of the guidance that I can get!) and include ingredients that you can actually find at your local grocery store (even including tips on where to locate some of the less common ingredients). The book also includes general healthy cooking and healthy eating tips. I highly recommend purchasing it! You won't be disappointed.
Yet another book that offers ridiculous ingredients that are both unappealing and usually require several different stores to find, not to mention more expensive. I gave it away. Made maybe one thing out of it honestly. Waste of money, look on Pinterest for healthy, TASTY meal ideas.
This cookbook is awesome! It has creative recipes for all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert) and it has a lot of helpful and useful information for a first time pregnant lady. I would highly recommend. Almost all of the recipes I have made so far have tasted amazing. I am really impressed and glad I purchased this book to keep me healthy throughout my first trimester, and the rest of my pregnancy.
This book is a tremendous resource for pregnant women who want to have...as the title states, "A Healthy, Happy Pregnancy".A lot of thought and research went into creating these recipes.Willow and Stephanie are well recognized experts in the field of nutrition. Now that they have both experienced pregnancy, they're in a perfect position to share this added knowledge.As a chiropractor who takes care of may pregnant moms, I highly recommend this book.
FANTASTIC cookbook! Incredibly informative, yet easy to read. Delicious recipes for all stages of pregnancy (or any day, really!) that are healthy, easy to follow and good for mama+babe. This is definitely going to become one of my go-tos.... You'll never need another cookbook!
