This book gives an amazing introduction to Delphi language and is really well written.The author has large experience with the language and explains everything in a clear, simple, and fun (yes, fun) way.It's hard to find a good and recent book on Delphi. I've tried a few and this one is really good.I read this book (Part 1) in Kindle Cloud reader and it worked really well, but if you plan to buy the three parts of the book, let it be known that the second part is not readable in cloud reader (it's the only Kindle book I have that is incompatible: parts 1 and 3 work, but part 2 doesn't).

The basics were well explained, studying part of this book was very helpful to code my first projects.

The book came in 3 downloadable PDF files and work perfect on my Kindle. The information had been good to have and it reviews and compares some older versions to the features of XE2. I could not find the same for XE3 so this has been a great purchase.

Well, to be fair it is the only Delphi book in years, but that is besides the point. This is a very strong book it covers all the basics of the language both structured and OOP in detail. After reading this book the only thing you will need is experience. The reason I didn't give this book 5 stars, is that while it is very good, and worth every bit of the purchase price and then some, it didn't absolutely knock my socks off, and that is what I reserve 5 stars for.

Congratulation. A Book with a very professional structure. Clear, direct. I'm sure that will help me in my targets.I bought already the other parts (part 2 and 3).

I bought these books as references for the Delphi Programming Language. I find the text hard to follow in this format. It's not easy to go back and forth in the same way as a printed book. I should have bought the print edition.

UPDATE (after some months):I find myself spending more and more time in the different books and it is becoming my main reference on certain topics. I'm upping my rate from a 3 star to a 4 star. The 1 star missing is only because of the font size issue I still have on my Kindle. It's just happening on Part 1 and 2.The good: :-)After years of moving on from programming, I decided to get back into it using Delphi XE2. These books are ideal for someone like me who just need that little nudge and recap, as well as one who would like to catch up on what happened since Delphi 7 :-)That said, do not under estimate the series as it covers a lot of good topics.Now for the bad: :-(I bought these books to read them on my Kindle, but it seems that the formatting was done so bad that I had to scale up my font to maximum just to be able to read it. I really think the guys should look at this and fix it ASAP. One can read it on the Kindle App for Windows without any problems, though.The ugly: :-pNow, after 2 weeks of pondering, I decided to give it another go .. I'm going to buy the first book again as I really want to get up to speed with Delphi again.Hope this helps!
